This Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie Bowl recipe is one of my go-to summer breakfasts at the moment. It’s the perfect balance of refreshing and sweet, and a delicious way to use up the abundance of local strawberries I’ve been enjoying lately!

(Aren’t these Oregon strawberries gorgeous?!)

Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie Bowl

Makes one bowl

Ingredients:

For the smoothie bowl:

  • 2 frozen bananas

  • 4 oz oat milk

  • 1 tbsp cocoa or cacao powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1/2 cup hulled strawberries, fresh or frozen

Toppings:

  • sliced strawberries

  • coconut chips

  • chocolate granola (such as Trader Joe’s Chocolate Almond Granola Cereal)

To make:

  1. In a blender, combine the frozen bananas, oat milk, cocoa powder, vanilla, and strawberries. Blend on high until smooth until the mixture reaches an ice cream-like consistency. Add a little more oat milk as needed if it’s too thick.

  2. Once smooth, pour the smoothie base into a bowl. Top with the sliced strawberries, coconut, and chocolate granola. Enjoy!
